Folding Banquet Tables

Folding banquet tables and chairs are essential for adding extra chairs and guests to any special occasion.

As you begin to plan your next family get-together, you realize you are going to need another banquet table.  Every year you find yourself renting them from the local party store, but why?  You can purchase a folding banquet table for your home for just about the same cost to rent.  Folding banquet tables are convenient for storage and can be easily removed and set-up within less than five minutes.  You can use your banquet table for family get-togethers, large dinner parties, birthdays, and more.

Most folding banquet tables range from four feet up to eight feet in length.  They are all typically rectangular in shape and meant to give you the additional table space you need for just about anything.  Folding banquet tables can be made out of particle board, plastic, resin, wood, and metal, but majority will have metal table legs.  Depending on your uses, resin and plastic topped folding banquet tables are usually the best.  Metal and wooden banquet tables tend to wear, rust, and dent; where plastic can easily be wiped down and will not rust or break as easily.

When shopping for folding banquet tables, it is important to know the size you are going to need.  If you use them annually for garage sales and dinner parties, you may want to purchase the larger eight foot model.  If you rarely use your banquet table and typically need them for only two or three seat placements, then you can easily get away with a smaller four or six foot table.  Always insure you get a quality folding banquet table that has locking mechanisms on the folding legs.  This will guarantee that once weight is placed on the table (including a curious child wanting to stand on it), the table will not collapse on itself.  Some folding banquet tables can not only have legs that fold into the center, but the table can fold in half itself.  These are good tables if you are very limited on storage, but they typically cannot hold as much weight as the folding banquet tables that do not fold in half.

Most folding banquet tables start at $35.00 and go up to over $100.00.  Wood and metal folding banquet tables will cost more than the resin and plastic models.  With resin and plastic lasting longer, it can be a wonder why you would pay more for less durable materials; though some people like the look of wood.  If you plan to use your folding banquet table for a lot of heavy items, be sure that you purchase a table that is made for “heavy duty” use.  Often these tables will have weight limits, so it is best to read the package description carefully.

You can find folding banquet tables both online and in-store.  When purchasing in-store, you can visit retailers such as Wal-Mart, Sams Club, Costco, and even Target.  For online shopping, visit retailers such as Amazon, Overstock, and Staples.  Folding banquet tables are a great accessory for any home.  They can easily be folded and tucked away out of sight, but brought out when you need the extra table space.  Whether you are hosting a birthday party, having a garage sale, or need a little table space for some at-home crafts, a folding banquet table can provide the temporary additional space you need without the hassle of clutter.
